The Costa Dorada is one of the main tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, thanks in part to its pleasant, mild climate. It is the ideal place to enjoy a holiday with the whole family.

The Costa Dorada offers as many choices as it has visitors and there is something to suit everybody's taste: the coast, the rich cultural and historical heritage, a wide variety of leisure activities and beautiful scenery. Inland, surrounded by spectacular natural landscapes, you can enjoy open-air activities, visit vineyards with a grand winemaking tradition, taste the delicious Mediterranean cuisine and take advantage of a wide range of health and business tourism opportunities.

Culture, history, nature and gastronomy are the vertices of a rich, lively land.

The monumental complex of Tarraco, the Roman Empire's ancient capital on the Iberian Peninsula, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2000. The area also preserves a notable mediaeval legacy in the Cistercian Route monasteries of SantesCreus and Poblet, the latter also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as towns that were of great importance during the Middle Ages. The city of Reus is the main exponent of the area's Modernist architectural heritage and is part of the European Network of Art Nouveau Cities.

Gastronomy on the Costa Dorada is a high quality art whose practitioners know how to combine to perfection the diversity of Mediterranean cuisine with a grand winemaking tradition. Five “designations of origin” are a guarantee of quality and they include the most internationally well knownPriorat and Penedès areas.

Nature also offers the visitor fascinating places, such as the Prades Mountains and the Serra del Montsant Natural Park, two Mediterranean mountain habitats with forests and an interesting variety of flora and fauna.

The Costa Dorada coastline is populated by large holiday resorts and small fishing villages. They offer the visitor quality accommodation, family activities, sports, sailing, water sports, etc. and of course the magnificent PortAventura theme park.

Miami Playa, Mont-roigdel Camp, Cambrils and Salou on the coast of the Costa Dorada, are the ideal bases from which to get to know the whole area.

Gastronomía y enoturismo

Traditional Mediterranean aromas and flavours are the essence of Costa Dorada's cuisine. The region's wealth of fresh, quality seafood and produce has given rise to an endless array of delectable dishes, as well as excellent wines from several select wine regions.

Discerning palates will want to sample the roasted calçots (a local variety of spring onion) in March, the wild boar stew in winter and the rossejat de fideus (a noodle paella) any time of year, as well as the region's world-famous xató (a cod salad served over curly endive) and Reus's stellar take on blancmange. Indeed, the region offers a genuine cornucopia of vegetables and meat, fish and fruit, nuts and world-class wines

The vine, perhaps the most prominent symbol of the Mediterranean culture, is also one of the values that identify the Costa Dorada, both for the extensive area of the territory covered by vineyards and for the uniqueness of its products. With six Dos ( denominaciones de origen or designations of origin) for wine and a large part of its territory included in the designation of origin for cava, the Costa Dorada has an outstanding veriety of vineyard scenery.

The almost centenarian vines on the hillsides and terraces of the Priorat and the Serra del Montsant make up an austere landscape that contrasts sharply with the plains of the Camp de Tarragona and the Penedès region. The more mountainous terrain of the Terra Alta and part of the Conca de Barberà add even further diversity to the variety of possible landscapes. It is an agricultural mosaic shared with other traditional Mediterranean crops such as olives, cereals, almonds, and hazelnuts.

Parc Mont-roig offers you holiday rentals, apartments, houses and villas with pool on the Costa Dorada in Miami Playa, Mont-Roig del Camp, Cambrils and Salou, where you can taste the gastronomy of the Costa Dorada and discover the culture of the wine of the region, visiting a winery with wine tasting.

The mild climate of the Costa Dorada means golf lovers can enjoy the sport all year round.

You will be able to enjoy your favorite sport during your stay in a comfortable holiday rental, apartment, house or villa in Miami Playa, Mont-roig del Camp, Cambrils or Salou.
