Changes to the tourist tax in Catalonia as of 1 May 2025

The increase in the Tourist Stay Tax has been postponed.
It will not take effect on May 1 as initially planned; the new expected date is October 1, 2025.
At Parc Mont-roig, we would like to inform you in a clear and transparent manner about an important change to the Impost sobre les Estades en Establiments Turístics (IEET), also known as the tourist tax. This change affects all tourist accommodations in the region, including our vacation accommodations in Miami Platja, Mont-roig del Camp, and Cambrils, located in the beautiful Costa Dorada.
What amount will be applied as the new tourist tax?
Starting on the mentioned date, the Generalitat de Catalunya has set the following official rate for the tourist tax:
- €2 + VAT (€2.20) per person per night.
- This tax has a maximum of 7 nights per stay.
- Children under 17 years old are exempt from paying this tax.
It is important to note that this tax must be paid by all adult guests and is mandatory according to the current tax regulations.
